This Angry Birds Movie Trailer Would’ve Been Awesome in 2010
After all the spin-off games, fruit snacks, pillows, plush dolls, comics and clothing lines, we finally have a trailer for The Angry Birds Movie.
Red, Chuck, Bomb and the Piggies meet in this new trailer for The Angry Birds Movie, and it's looking a bit better than we were expecting. Due to the likes of Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Double Dragon, Tomb Raider and Pixels, we're a bit skeptical when it comes to most video game-based films. Nevertheless, The Angry Birds Movie looks charming and pretty darn entertaining based on this trailer. You can expect all kinds of Disney and Pixar-esque comedy in The Angry Birds Movie, as Rovio and Sony have a variety of Hollywood talent lined up to play the piggies and their fowl friends. Unfortunately, it looks like they've been experiencing some anger issues.
This film will have Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses) starring in the lead role as Red, Josh Gad (Frozen) will be playing Chuck and Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down, This is the End) will be starring as Bomb. Bill Hader (every Judd Apatow comedy ever made) will be playing the Bad Piggies' leader. Our favorite Emmy-winning Lannister, Peter Dinklage, will be playing Mighty Eagle. The Angry Birds Movie also has Mikael Hed and David Maisel as executive producers, Fergal Reilly and Clay Kaytis as directors and Jon Vitti as lead writer.
The Angry Birds Movie will hit theaters in May 2016.
