No. 6 – Sephiroth

Despite not actually spending very much time on-screen at all, teenage minds everywhere were mesmerized by the goth, nihilistic cool of Sephiroth in Final Fantasy VII. Like a great scene-stealing actor, every time Sephiroth made an appearance all the gravity in the scene just fell inward towards him. It also didn't hurt that the guy also had his own bombastic theme music. Sephiroth also went on to inspire other characters in anime and comics, including Vicious - the white haired, sword-weilding, super powerful villain in the Cowboy Bebop series. Much like Sephiroth, Vicious also went crazy during one of his missions, laying waste to loved ones and somehow getting you to like him and hate him at the same time. Really, there's no way Sephiroth could not be on this list.
