Zheros Trailer: Mech Warriors

Rimlight Studios' first trailer for its premier title, Zheros, hits all the right retro notes while moving the beat 'em up genre into 2015.

The debut trailers of Zheros features some impressive side-scrolling beat 'em up action with Captain Dorian and the burly Mike tearing through ranks of dastardly, robotic baddies.  There are weapons and giant mech suits to use on the battlefield as you lay waste to all sorts of insidious forces. The bright, exaggerated visuals of Zheros are reminiscent of the kind used in Pixar and Disney films, such as 'The Incredibles.' Of course, there's going to be co-op gameplay so Mike and Captain Dorian can get their combo-on as both rivals and allies. The random guns mixed throughout the action sequences remind us a little of Capcom's old Punisher arcade game, and that's a good thing.

While no release date has been set, we can expect Zheros to launch sometime this year for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
