The upcoming Eidos Montreal game, Thief, is full of mystery as it is of promise. But one thing we don't have to wonder about is whether or not the game will look pretty, thanks to a few new screenshots.

Game Informer has a pair of brand new screens that show off some of the treasures that you can nick in the sneak-happy game. In Thief, you step into the silent shoes of the protagonist, Garrett, and help him liberate items from the possession of their undeserving owners.

The screenshots below show Garrett appraising a very ornate bottle and a wide shot of a rather atmospheric brothel called the House of Blossoms. Our extensive training in subterfuge, thanks to years of playing games like the Elder Scrolls, Splinter Cell, and Metal Gear Solid, leads us to instinctively want to snuff out those candles to remain hidden in the shadows, but we'll see if they'll include that in the game proper.

For now, just feast your eyes on the screenshots and count out all of the objects in the environment that you'd want to grab for your own!

There's no set release date or even a tentative window for one, but we do know that it'll be on PC, PlayStation 4, and other next-gen consoles in 2013. We'll keep you updated as more information is revealed!
