The maniacal, psychological and gory horrors of The Evil Within grow with its second major DLC story, 'The Consequence,' which continues the tale of Juli Kidman that started in 'The Assignment.'

Tango Gameworks and Bethesda have released a new teaser trailer for 'The Consequence' DLC for The Evil Within. This DLC is the second part of last month's 'The Assignment' expansion, which focused on Juli Kidman, Sebastian's younger partner who was absent for much of The Evil Within's events. This time, Juli is back and has even greater horrors that she must evade (warning: spoilers below).

Here's what Bethesda had to say about this upcoming DLC:

If you’ve already completed part 1 of Juli Kidman’s adventure and are dying to know what happens next… and we’re happy to inform you won’t have to wait long to see her story through. The Consequence will release on Tuesday, April 21st on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC.

'The Assignment' DLC delved into Kidman's mind to make sense of her shady actions in the main story. Kidman is actually a double agent, who was looking for the crazy savant, Leslie, who could get her out of STEM's nightmare dreamscape. She was working for Mobius, who gave her a way to get into the STEM system without alerting Ruvik to her location and getting her quite killed. Since she was ordered to not stray from her quest by her superiors, but did anyway to help Seb, 'The Consequence's namesake obviously follows up with some new horrors for the junior detective. Let's just hope we don't get anymore of those lame flashlight sequences this time around.

The Evil Within's 'The Consequence' DLC will launch on April 21 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Since 'The Assignment' costs $9.99 and was included with the game's Season Pass, we should expect the same applies to its sequel DLC.
