Techland's highly anticipated upcoming zombie survival game, Dying Light, is coming out soon, and now we've learned the zombie action title will be getting a prequel novel.

The final touches are being put on Techland's tie-in novel to its game Dying Light, so the team has decided to share some of the details with its fans. The novel will take place before the outbreak of the disease that made most of Dying Lights inhabitants zombies, and will be written by Raymond Benson. Benson is most known as the writer of the James Bond novels.

"Writing the origin story for Dying Light was an exciting adventure for me," Benson admits. "I'd always wanted to try my hand at a zombie-genre tale and this gave me the perfect opportunity."

Fans can look forward to the novel about, "Mel Wyatt, an 18-year-old American athlete" and her younger brother, Paul in an isolated hotel soon. The release date and price have yet to be released, but Techland promised that those announcements are quickly approaching.
