Cue the Sonic cartoon theme, because Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal will be coming out one week early. It looks like the redesigned hedgehog couldn't wait.

Sega has announced that both Sonic Boom titles have had their release dates moved up by one week. Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal's launches are now a little bit closer than before. Originally, both games were due out on Nov. 18. Moving both titles to Nov. 11 means that Sonic is moving away from the launch dates of Project CARS, Grand Theft Auto V on PS4/Xbox One and WWE 2K15; putting Sonic Boom alongside the releases of The Crew, Assassin's Creed Unity, Lego Batman 3 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Our wallets are dreading it, but we can't wait for November.

It is likely that Sonic Boom's releases were changed to help put the games on store shelves closer to the television debut of its tie-in animated series of the same name, which debuts this October.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystals will respectively launch on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on Nov. 11.
