Slender Man, Slender Man, does whatever a Slender can. The internet-spawned child-stealing phantom will soon be haunting next-gen consoles when Slender: The Arrival arrives on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

According to developer Blue Isle Studios, Slender: The Arrival will feature an all-new story centering around a girl named Lauren on her quest to find her Slender Man-obsessed friend Kate. You'll check out decrepit houses, dank mines, and creepy forests, all while trying to escape the eyeless gaze of the Slender Man. Given the high degree of tension and paranoia found in the PC iteration of Slender, you can probably expect this new entry to be a roller coaster of shadowy figures and general spookiness.

Blue Isle Studios also added that Slender: The Arrival was "developed in collaboration with Eric 'Victor Surge' Knudson, creator of the paranormal phenomenon, and written by the creative team behind the Marble Hornets series." With as much fame as this child-stealing geist has gained, it's nice to see that its original creator can bask in some of the fame as well. And for those unfamiliar with Marble Hornets, this YouTube series takes a found-footage approach to presenting the Slender Man mythos, and Slendy's continuing fame is arguably due, in large part, to the chilling, intricate series.

Slender: The Arrival will stalk onto Playstation 4 and Xbox One on March 24 and 25, respectively; this digital title will cost $9.99.
