One of our favorite survival horror multiplayer game modes returns in Resident Evil Revelations 2. That's right, shoot-and-loot has returned with Raid Mode.

Capcom has revealed some new details about Raid Mode's return in Resident Evil Revelations 2. Based off of the series' Mercenaries Mode, Raid Mode was a bit limited due to the constraints of the Nintendo 3DS during the release of the first Revelations game. Since Revelations 2 is coming out to most major consoles, it should have better online capabilities to really let the online aspect of Raid Mode flourish.

Like before, Raid Mode will let you choose a character and customize weapons to hunt hordes of the undead in specially timed stages. Based on the screenshots below, the first few Raid Mode characters include Jill, Barry, Hunk and Wesker. Moira is absent due to her fear of guns or whatever the heck is wrong with her based on Revelations' story. You need to keep downing enemies to raise your score so you can upgrade your weapon and get further into Raid Mode, especially once you start unlocking the stronger enemies. Just make sure your looting all the drops that appear from each enemy you kill and you'll be fine.

Raid Mode returns when the first episode of Resident Evil Revelations 2 launches on Feb. 17 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
