Capcom continues to churn out Resident Evil titles, and today the publisher announced that Resident Evil Revelations is hitting North American markets on May 21st.

The title, available in Europe on May 24th, will be released on the Xbox 360, Playstation3, and the Wii U consoles, with digital downloads on the PS3 and Windows PC launching on May 21st. Previously released on the Nintendo 3DS, the home console version contains a new enemy, one added difficulty mode and enhancements to the Raid Mode. Under Raid Mode, gamers engage in online co-op or single player mode as they battle hordes of enemies while achieving weapon upgrades.

Featuring such franchise favorites as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, the story starts on an abandoned cruise ship before gamers explore the danger ridden city of Terragrigia. Players can pre-register to starting January 24th to receive early access to game themed content and information on online events that will be disclosed closer to Resident Evil Revelations' launch date.
