A slew of indie games will be making their way to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. Thanks to some announcements at Gamescom, we know what to expect from these indie offerings.

First up on the list is Resogun, a shooter from the team that brought us Super Stardust. You can see the intensity of the shooting and the wonderful graphics here.

Up next is a game called Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, from The Chinese Room. You might remember these guys as the development team from the UK who made Dear Esther for the PC. Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is an open-world adventure that takes place during the apocalypse. From that description alone, we're on board. See the screens of this beautiful, doomed world here.

Arrowhead Game Studios, makers of games like Magicka, is teaming up with Sony Computer Entertainment and Foster City Studios on a game called Helldivers, which is a to-down shooter that takes place in a dystopian future. There are both single-player campaigns and four-player cooperative missions to tackle, so players of all kinds can be satisfied. Find out more about this shooter here.

A new developer called Chucklefish is bringing a game called Starbound to the PlayStation 4. This will be an extraterrestrial sandbox adventure game that's chock-full of procedurally-generated creatures and weapon, along with villages and temples. You'll be able to explore planets full of dungeons and interesting things to see. Check it out here.

We'll also be getting a sequel for Velocity Ultra, called Velocity 2X, and a port of Fez will be coming to the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and the PlayStation Vita. You can see the footage for Velocity 2X on this page while the gorgeous screens for indie hit Fez are here.
