The ongoing war between the undead and plant life is crossing over to the Sony side of the garden.

PopCap Games producer Brian Lindley has announced on the PlayStation Blog that Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be coming to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 later this summer. On top of this, the Garden Variety and Zomboss Down downloadable content expansions will both be available from day one of the PlayStation releases of Garden Warfare. Garden Warfare will be running on the PS4 at a crisp 1080p resolution and will be moving at 60 frames per second.

On top of its DLC being included with the PS4 version of Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, plus its beautiful graphics, you can also play the game from PS Vita. That's right, the PS4 edition will be playable using Remote Play. It will also have split screen co-op (sorry PS3 players).

Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare will be coming to PS3 and PS4 on August 19.
