No. 3 – Okami 2

We know that Okamiden was released on the Nintendo DS, but it just didn’t feel like a proper sequel to the original. It was more like a coda to the original story. We’re looking for more than that. Okami was easily one of the greatest games ever released for the Nintendo Wii. The graphics were undeniably stylish and beautiful. The controls were fun and the Wii Remote made drawing on the screen with the celestial brush a joy. What endeared it most to us was the wonderful cast of characters like Issun and Amaterasu. Although the wolf god of the sun never spoke, she was easily one of the most likable characters you’d come across. The world itself was a curiously inventive amalgamation of legend and real life Japan. We’d love a chance slip into the skin of the goddess of the sun and once again save the world from darkness.
