No. 8 – Tomb Raider – Head Shishkabob

When you think of gruesome deaths, you wouldn't normally think of Lara Croft, but in the brand new Tomb Raider, she's subjected to all sorts of cruel endings that are quite difficult to watch. One of the most shocking and gruesome of which is when she slides the wrong way down river rapids and gets her head impaled. It happens so fast that you barely have time to register what just happened. For taking us totally by surprise, Tomb Raider impales its way onto our list of 10 Gruesome Video Game Deaths.
