What better way to ring in the new year with a couple of new video game releases? It looks like 2014 is starting slow. At least your wallet will have some time to recover after the holidays. Sadly though, we'll have to wait a little while longer to get some more new games for those shiny new consoles.

The big release this month is re-release of Tomb Raider. This game was originally developed with some absurd graphical fidelity that had to be toned down to keep your consoles from melting. Now it looks like The Definitive Edition will bring back many more of those shiny pixels and put your newest consoles to work. Tomb Raider was already a beautiful game, but a bit of extra graphics grunt will make it the perfect package for those who missed it the first time around.
