It's been a while since we've seen anything new on the LittleBigPlanet front, but a few trademarks have popped up hinting at possible future plans from Media Molecule.

According to Dual Shockers, Sony's registered two new LittleBigPlanet trademarks in the U.K. Both are filed as "LBP," but offer different descriptions and potential applications. The first is listed for a "game service provided as means of the internet," which could be in reference to LittleBigPlanet Hub announced last summer.

Where it gets interesting is the second listing for "LBP," where the listing describes the trademark is to be used for "computer game software." Media Molecule has been busy delivering content for LitttleBigPlanet and working on new titles like Tearaway, but getting a new and improved title with our favorite Sackboy would be an awesome addition for the PlayStation 4.

Just how Sony and Media Molecule plan on using these patents is a mystery for now, but hopefully more light will be shed on the future of LittleBigPlanet in 2014. The sooner, the better.
