Mirror’s Edge Concept Art Showcases New Enemy and Metropolitan Jungle
EA has provided two new pieces of concept art for the prequel to Mirror's Edge.
Now that E3 is wrapping things up, EA has decided to unveil two more pieces of concept art for its next Mirror's Edge title. This highly anticipated followup is meant to act as an expansive prequel to the original, advancing its acrobatic, first-person gameplay and telling us more of Faith's background.
In particular, it also gives us some new, innovative approaches to the FPS genre. With so many other titles focusing on ground-based combat and finding cover, Mirror's Edge will let us wall-jump, flip, dive and somersault through its hostile and beautiful world.
As we can tell by these new pieces of concept art, Mirror's Edge is offering a futuristic metropolis for us to explore. We can't wait to see how DICE's Frostbite 3 engine will depict this utopia and integrate Faith's impressive agility when Mirror's Edge drops sometime in 2015 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
