Both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light are being remastered and overhauled for next-gen consoles.

On the official Metro series website, 4A Games and Deep Silver have announced that they are bringing their post-apocalyptic series to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in the form of Metro Redux. Metro Redux will have 60 FPS gameplay, new features, enhanced visuals and improved mechanics. In particular, Metro 2033 has been completely redone using the 4A Engine in order to bring it up to par with Last Light. All previously released downloadable content given within Metro: Last Light's Season Pass will be included with Redux as well.

Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux will be available as separate, digital downloads for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 for the price of $24.99 each. A physical, boxed compilation of the two remastered games, called Metro Redux, will be available for $49.99. Metro Redux is scheduled for a release later this summer.
