Big Boss might be ashamed of what happened to The Boss, but this sleek, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain-themed PlayStation 4 is something he'd be proud of.

Kotaku reports that a Metal Gear Solid V-themed PS4 is being released in Japan this summer. While it's nowhere near as immaculate as the PlayStation 20th Anniversary Edition, this Diamond Dogs PS4 looks quite nice. As you can tell, the colors of this console are meant to reflect Snake's mechanical arm, which give it a Famicom-sort of feel. The controller and system have minute details, such as an inscribed Diamond Dogs logo on each of them.

Yesterday, Hideo Kojima officially announced that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain would be launching on Sept. 1 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. PC users will have to wait until Sept. 15 to get The Phantom Pain from Steam. There is a Collector's Edition of MGS V coming out that will include a steelbook, a behind the scenes and trailer blu-ray, a cloth map, a half-scale replica of Snake's metal arm and a ton of digital content. The digital content includes special cardboard box disguises, different outfits for Snake, unique items for Metal Gear Online and exclusive weapons for Snake to use in The Phantom Pain.

Unfortunately there is no word on whether or not this gorgeous PlayStation 4 console will be getting a Western release, but we've got high hopes for it.
