Hideo Kojima says goodbye with his final trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear Sahelanthropus is officially a boy.

With all signs pointing towards Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima parting ways with Konami after Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain launches, the legendary game maker has given us one last trailer as a goodbye to the franchise he created. This last trailer for The Phantom Pain gives us a look at all the incarnations of Snake throughout the years, setting up Big Boss' downward spiral into a bloody war. It's interesting to hear Donna Burke's "Sins of the Father" redone as "Quiet's Theme," performed by Stefanie Joosten, who is actually the motion and voice actress playing the character in The Phantom Pain.

We also get to see the various types of Metal Gear robots we have faced throughout the series, ending with The Phantom Pain's Sahelanthropus, which can actually walk upright like a ginormous Gundam. Speaking of ginormous, let's just say this is a boy robot.

Even Kojima himself made a lighthearted jest at Metal Gear Chubbie's expeense:

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch on Sept. 1 for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Metal Gear Online, The Phantom Pain's multiplayer mode, isn't launching on consoles until Oct. 6. Unfortunately, Metal Gear Online won't launch for the game's PC version until Jan. 2016.
