The voting for Madden NFL 15’s cover athlete ended on June 6, with outspoken Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman taking the honors. Today, two online retailers may have revealed the actual box-art, giving us our first look at Sherman’s first cover appearance.

Amazon and GameStop have both posted listings for all four console editions of Madden NFL 15, showing the cover in its full glory. Sherman appears alone on the cover, standing inside Seattle’s Qwest Field. Oddly, Sherman is shown in what appears to be a martial arts pose, with one foot off the ground and his right hand thrust forward. Maybe it’s not supposed to be a fighting stance, but it sure doesn’t look like anything a cornerback would do in a game. Despite the fame and exposure that comes with a Madden cover, Sherman is shown making his meanest face.

Sherman was a standout corner all year, but became famous for his excellent performance in Super Bowl XLVIII and his loud, aggressive post-game interview where he called out 49ers wide receiver Michael Crabtree, scaring the living bejeezus out of Fox Sports’ Erin Andrews in the process. We’ll find out if the kung-fu cover we’re seeing today will be the final box-art when the game is released on August 26.
