Formally known as Lily Bergamo, we're glad to see Suda 51's newest project, Let It Die, is moving right along in its development.

Until now, all we've seen of Suda 51's next game is a brief live-action trailer that aired during the E3 2014 PlayStation conference. We couldn't glean much from it, other than it being a free-to-play game made in collaboration with GungHo Entertainment. With the Tokyo Game Show fast approaching, we finally get to see some gameplay and we're beginning to understand what Let It Die is all about.

The brief trailer shows many different characters, locked in an insane asylum-like setting, beating the crap out of each other with all kinds of melee weapons and firearms. At some points, we see a particularly hulking figure decked out with some crazy weaponry, which makes us wonder if the character is some type of boss figure.

It looks like Suda and company are crafting a crazy, free-to-play hack-and-slasher on PlayStation 4 for their faithful fans. While Let It Die is not what we expected (Lily Bergamo, anyone?), we're definitely going to be keeping an eye on it. We'll provide more coverage on Let It Die and the rest of the Tokyo Game Show happenings once more information is available.
