Kirby takes his fight to the skies above Planet Pop Star in this newest trailer for Kirby: Triple Deluxe.

Our favorite, upbeat, pink sphere of hunger is back in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, which will mark the franchise's debut on Nintendo 3DS. Triple Deluxe will bring about some of Kirby's trademark inhale-oriented style of platforming while utilizing the 3D technology and capabilities of Nintendo's latest handheld. Just from the trailer, you can tell that swallowing an enemy and stealing its powers isn't going to be enough in order to get far in Kirby's newest adventure.

Triple deluxe will also include two new subgames unique to this 3DS title. The first of these subgames is Kirby Fighters, where up to four Kirbies can fight each other in a Super Smash Bros. style of combat -- you even get to customize your own Kirby to help him standout from your enemies. The other minigame included with Kirby: Triple Deluxe is Dedede's Drum Dash. Drum Dash stars Kirby's nemesis who must rhythmically jump on drums while avoiding enemies to collect points as he tries to match the beat of some of the Kirby series' most recognizable tunes.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe is anticipated for a release date of May 2 and will be sold exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
