Injustice: Gods Among Us’ Green Lantern Trailer Reveals a New Villain

Injustice: Gods Among Us has released a new trailer featuring everyone's favorite lean, mean, green light-shooting machine, Hal Jordan. Otherwise known as the Green Lantern, Jordan uses his willpower to fuel his ring and do some cool things with it. And the coolest thing he can do is beat down the new villain revealed in this trailer.

And this villain should be pretty familiar to Hal, since it happens to be a fear-fueled, yellow ring-wearing version of him. That's right, Hal Jordan has to fight Hal Jordan!

The story trailer gives us a few snippets of footage showing Hal facing off with his evil doppelganger, pitting green light constructs versus yellow light constructs in an epic battle against oneself.

Just where this other Hal came from and what role he has to play in the overarching story in Injustice: Gods Among Us has yet to be revealed, but with a week to go before the game's release on April 16th, 2013, we won't be waiting long to find out.
