According to CVG, Injustice: Gods Among Us, the upcoming DC Universe based fighter from Netherrealm Studios, will be on more platforms than just the PS3 and Xbox 360. Supposedly, an iOS port of the game is currently in development.

Supposedly, the iOS port was spotted at GDC this week. The game is supposedly being developed in house by Netherrealm. No details about the port have been announced and the game has not yet been officially confirmed by Netherrealm Studios.

Injustice: Gods Among Us operates on a basic four button system. However, several of these buttons must be hit in tandem in order to do things such as execute supers or interact with the environment. In practice, the amount of buttons actually needed to play the game smoothly is more like 6 or 7, with several triggers and shoulder buttons joining in the fray. Not only that, but directionals are a huge part of the game and are used in just about every special technique there is. It would seem that integrating such a complex system into a touch screen interface might be impossible. However, it is also possible that Netherrealm will use simplified “super” and “special” buttons, much like Street Fighter and King of Fighters did when they came to iOS.
