In the latest update to Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta, Spartans can partake in the Breakout game type and try all sorts of new, frag-filled content.

Halo Waypoint has announced that the Breakout game type has launched, bringing a new way to play multiplayer in Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta. Breakout is round-based and you only have one life per round. The first team to win five rounds wins the match. Basically, your team just has to outlive your opponents. Just as long as your crew has one Spartan standing once the dust settles, you win.

The Breakout game type can be played on the Crossfire and Trench maps. Speaking of maps, two new maps are being added into the Slayer playlist, Regret and Eden. Regret is a remix of the Truth map and Eden is a revamped version of Empire, which were both from the first week of the beta. The Regret map also has access to the new Hydra MLRS gun, so make sure you keep an eye out for that.

In order to get in Guardians' beta, you must have Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Anything unlocked in the beta will carryover to Halo 5: Guardians' official release next fall.
