The EA Instagram account is beginning to reveal Star Wars Battlefront, but don't get your Jedi robes in a twist, because there's not much to parse through just yet.

So far the account has posted three pieces of the same image, and while they only show the chestplate of the soldier it looks like some high quality character art for either a Stormtrooper or Clone Trooper. Our money is on the Stormtrooper, since that's been on the cover art for the original Battlefront game, but maybe a new developer wants to go in a new direction.

These teases are leading up to the first gameplay reveal of the game this Friday, April 17 at 1:30PM EST, which will be livestreamed then immediately followed by a panel discussing the new game live from the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, CA. EA has teased even more Battlefront-related happenings throughout the weekend, including some behind-closed-doors gameplay demos exclusively for attendees.

Yes these pictures are cryptic, and no there's not a lot to go on, but we're just happy to finally be talking about final images and trailers for Star Wars Battlefront. The project was first announced at E3 2013, and at last year's show we saw a video of the developers doing research for the game. This will be the first time in two years that we actually get to see what DICE has been doing all this time. We hope the Force is strong with this one, we really do.

Star Wars: Battlefront is slated to launch this year for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
