Medieval-themed tower defense gaming has hit current-gen consoles in the form CasteStorm: Definitive Edition.

Bobby Loertscher, Zen Studios' Community Manager, has just announced on the PlayStation Blog that CastleStorm: Definitive Edition has launched on PlayStation 4. It has also launched for the Xbox One. CastleStorm: Definitive Edition takes the gameplay of CastleStorm: Free to Siege and brings it to the current-gen, featuring 1080p resolution, voice support (PlayStation Camera/Kinect required), improved textures and redone character models. The Definitive Edition of CastleStorm also includes the previously released DLC packs, Warrior Queen and From Outcast to Savior. Unfortunately, Zen Studios has confirmed that the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions of CastleStorm are cross buy, but the Definitive Edition on PS4 is not.

CastleStorm mixes together melee action and tower defense mechanics while offering co-op, castle editing, online multiplayer and a solo story campaign. This action-strategy game is digitally available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for $9.99.
