While it's been speculated Bungie's new sci-fi shooter Destiny would arrive on Sony's and Microsoft's next generation consoles, nothing was set in stone until Thursday's PlayStation 4 reveal.

Destiny, a new social shooter from the creators of Halo, is coming to the PlayStation 4. The game was already announced for the PlayStation 3, but we now know it will be coming to both systems whenever Activision decides to release the game.

More interesting however was the reveal exclusive content would be created for Sony's systems. Previously, it was reported the Xbox 360 would be the exclusive home to downloadable content first, but perhaps Bungie and Activision have found a way around that particular agreement to make fans on both systems happy.

Bungie also saw fit to reveal a bit of gameplay during the event, which you can see in the footage below.
