Bungie has registered five new trademarks with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office seemingly related to Destiny.

The all-new sci-fi multiplayer social shooter made its debut one month ago, but Bungie has plans in store beyond the upcoming video game. Gamespot has discovered five new trademark applications filed by the developer regarding Destiny.

Cabal and Vex are the enemies you'll face in the game, and Fallen has been used in the marketing materials. Hive and Glimmer have also been trademarked, but their relation to Destiny isn't as clear. However, since three out of the five are already part of the game, it makes sense Hive and Glimmer are too.

Each trademark has been filed allowing for use in interactive games, graphic novels, costumes, action figures, television, and more. Whether or not Destiny will expand into those ares right away remains to be seen, but Bungie's pedigree certainly could see Destiny become a successful book or comic, or even a costume.

Destiny still doesn't have a release date yet, but we should be learning more about this new franchise as the year rolls on.
