Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel’s ‘Claptastic Voyage’ DLC (Updated)
Update:
Machinima has posted a hilarious trailer for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's 'Claptastic Voyage' DLC. This is arguably the best game trailer to ever use Coolio's Fantastic Voyage. When we first heard about this DLC pack, we had the same reaction as Wilhelm's.
Original Story:
2K Australia and Gearbox Software are getting to the root of what their fans love in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's fourth DLC pack, 'Claptastic Voyage.'
Let's face it, the Borderlands series wouldn't be the same without Claptrap, and 2K Australia and Gearbox Software have decided to acknowledge this with Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel's fourth DLC pack, 'Claptastic Voyage'. Claptrap will serve as the star of this content pack that Polygon reports will take place after The Pre-Sequel and before Borderlands 2. Since Handsome Jack is after an item within Claptrap's source code, he digitizes the Vault Hunters and sends them into Claptrap's mind. Remember how kooky Claptrap is and let that settle in for a moment. This may seem a bit extreme, but did we mention that the item is super powerful and mysterious? This add-on will also include the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, which means even more levels to try and reach for in the game. You will get an additional 10 levels that will push you up to a max level of 70, with 10 skill points to spend as well.
Players will get the chance to, "[explore] the deepest recesses and furthest corners of Claptrap's mind... his hopes, dreams and stupidity," explains 2K Australia.
'Claptastic Voyage' will launch on March 24 for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection will be launching for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on this date as well. You can get 'Claptastic Voyage' as part of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection through a download or you can get it for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel through either the $29.99 Season Pass or for $9.99 by itself.
