Batgirl Takes on The Joker in Batman: Arkham Knight DLC Trailer
Batgirl and Robin will team up to save Commissioner Gordon from The Joker and Harley Quinn in this new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight's first story driven piece of DLC.
Warner Bros. Interactive, WB Games Montreal and Rocksteady Studios have released a new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight's upcoming Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC. You'll get to play as Barbara Gordon long before the horrific events of Alan Moore's The Killing Joke, where the Commissioner's daughter stars as Batgirl. Under the tutelage and guidance of Batman, Barbara Gordon became a crime fighter after her father crushed her dreams of joining the GCPD. Taking place between Arkham Origins and Arkham Asylum, we get to see Batgirl in her prime as she must save her father from the clutches of The Joker and Harley Quinn. Batman will be nowhere in sight as it's up to Batgirl and Robin to save the day. We should note that this downloadable content is being developed by WB Games Montreal, known for the glitch-tastic Arkham Origins, and not Rocksteady Studios, which developed Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight.
Here's the DLC's official synopsis:
When The Joker kidnaps Commissioner Gordon and holds him hostage at the Seagate Amusement Park, Batgirl and Robin must fight against the odds to save him and avoid falling victim to The Joker's sinister plan. Trained by Batman, Batgirl's combat combines with unparalleled hacking abilities to take down enemies, control objects and solve puzzles.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family will debut for Batman: Arkham Knight on July 21 for a $6.99 price on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. This DLC add-on will be included in the game's $39.99 Season Pass. Season Pass owners will also gain early access to this content, starting on July 14. Warner Bros, Rocksteady and WB Games Montreal have six months of content planned for Arkham Knight, including more super villains, story missions, Batmobile skins, character outfits, challenge maps, race tracks and more.
