9 Elefants Review (IOS)
9 Elefants is a puzzle game that takes place in 1920s Paris. An innovative professor has vanished, and it's up to his daughter Laura to solve the mystery of his disappearance.
Isolani Review (iOS)
Although it gives gamers an epic storyline as its backdrop, the app succeeds as an uncomplicated shoot 'em up that may be too easy for its own good.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Review (iOS)
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is a superior title that brings the webslinger's skill set into the iOS universe.
Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff Review (iOS)
Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff is a free-to-play farming title that will attempt to corner the market that went gaga over The Simpsons: Tapped Out.
Warhammer 40K: Storm of Vengeance Review (iOS)
Warhammer 40K: Storm of Vengeance is a blessing to iOS enthusiasts who are in love with the popular franchise.
Zombie Stampede Review (iOS)
Zombie Stampede, based on its moniker, sounds like some undead adventure that lives and breathes in the Wild Wild West. Although there are no cowboys or rolling tumbleweeds that pass your way, this free to play app does have enough showdowns to keep your trigger finger itchy and raring to go at a moment's notice.
Boom Beach Review (iOS)
Boom Beach starts in rather slow fashion, as you're slowly building a fortress and village to defend against oncoming enemies. What begins as a farming title eventually transforms into a combat strategy game, and within the first half-hour of playing you'll have witnessed a wonderfully balanced combination of both genres. Boom Beach is free-to-play, but don't be surprised if this game takes a bite out of your milk money.
Scallywags Review (iOS)
Scallywags is an adventure that takes you out to sea on the hunt for the cowards who took your plentiful booty. Armed with a sturdy ship and a destructive cannon, it's your job to kill at will and show your cohorts who's the baddest pirate in town. This app should have been a home run, but an annoying flaw leaves this game treading on choppy waters.
Tiny City Review (iOS)
Tiny City is the Groundhog Day of farming games, and depending on your love of repetition will either keep you at bay or whet your appetite. Since this app is free-to-play, the idea of constructing a metropolis out of a tiny town won't happen overnight unless you spend a bit of cash. Even with this annoying aspect at its base, Tiny City is part of my daily app play rotation.
The Witch and the Hundred Knight Review (PlayStation 3)
The Witch and the Hundred Knight exists in a world of green, swamp infested evil. You start off as a minion who's doing the bidding of a bloodthirsty witch named Metallia, and unless you get in her good graces, you'll be added to her pile of victims. Breaking bad in an RPG universe isn't exactly a novel concept, but The Witch and the Hundred Night weaved a beguiling enough spell to keep me intrigued.
