Sledgehammer Games and Activision have finally revealed a PS3, PS4 and PC release date for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's zombified return to Burger Town with its Ascendance DLC

Nearly a full month after Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Ascendance downloadable content expansion launched for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, the DLC is finally debuting for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PC gamers. The DLC was part of a timed exclusivity deal between Activision and Microsoft, where Xbox consoles would gain access to this DLC content before PC and PlayStation consoles would. The Ascendance downloadable content expansion provides four new multiplayer maps, including a broken down and futuristic return to the Burger Town map of the Modern Warfare series. Also included with this DLC is a new Exo Zombies-filled episode, 'Infection,' which stars horror movie stars Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan, Jon Bernthal and John Malkovich.

The timed exclusiveness of Advanced Warfare's downloadable content is similar to that of Rise of the Tomb Raider, where Lara Croft's next big game will be launching for Xbox consoles significantly earlier than it will for PlayStation and PC gamers. While we're always down for friendly competition, we're not particularly found of timed exclusivity. On the other hand, we should be grateful that games and DLC content are still launching between both Microsoft and Sony's consoles, regardless of a delay.

PlayStation and PC gamers will finally have access to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Ascendance DLC on April 30 for the price of $14.99. It is also included in the $49.99 Season Pass of Advanced Warfare.
