The Witch and the Hundred Knight exists in a world of green, swamp infested evil. You start off as a minion who's doing the bidding of a bloodthirsty witch named Metallia, and unless you get in her good graces, you'll be added to her pile of victims. Breaking bad in an RPG universe isn't exactly a novel concept, but The Witch and the Hundred Night weaved a beguiling enough spell to keep me intrigued.

The Guided Fate Paradox has come over to North America courtesy of NIS America, the folks responsible for giving us such treats like the Disgaea series and the Etrian Odyssey games. If you're aware of the company and its catalog of games, then chances are that you're a pretty big Japanese role-playing game fan and are very much appreciate of the niche RPGs that NIS America offers. When something new comes out, it has the chance to revolutionize gaming. Or, it can crash and burn in a glorious fireworks display of broken execution. The PlayStation Portable is still getting game releases! Thanks to NIS America, Sony's fabulous little media lunchbox will be receiving Black Rock Shooter, a Japanese role-playing/third-person shooter game starring a mysterious girl with gravity-defying pigtails and a blazing eye.

Fans of PlayStation 2-era strategy role-playing games will want to mark their calendars for January 22nd, 2013.
