BeaverTap Games has announced that they will follow up their platforming hit Mikey Shorts with a sequel of its own -- Mikey Hooks! Much like the first game, you will enjoy pinpoint platforming controls that you can use to take Mikey through level after level of high-speed action. But there's a new addition to the game and the hint is in the title. Can you guess what it is?

In a recent update to the fun, addictive, and all-around clever platformer Mikey Shorts, BeaverTap Games has added a fresh bunch of collectible outfits.

Mikey Shorts Halloween really should not be considered a standalone game, although you do get to jump and collect gold coins through four new levels. If you haven't downloaded Mikey Shorts as of yet, I highly recommend the game. It's a title that relishes in its 2D simplicity and doesn't try to over  complicate matters with extremely difficult game play.

The chorus for Mikey Rocks, a rap song from The Cool Kids that I adore, offers the simple, yet telling proclamation: “I’m…I’m Mikey…I…I Rock.” Mikey Shorts -- with its throwback 2D graphics and gameplay -- may seem fixated in the 1980s, but yes, it definitely rocks...
