The Kickstarter darling Yooka-Laylee continues to tear up the crowdfunding record charts, and Playtonic Games has decided to rewards its new fans by revealing a new character that will join Yooka and Laylee on their quest. He's a snake wearing pants and his name is Trowzer. Trowzer Snake. Tee hee.

Trowzer is described as a "flash, wheeler dealing serpent" by the official update on the game's Kickstarter page, a smug little snake who will teach the heroic duo new abilities for a small fee. As the update describes, he'll "take your money and count it (he’s an Adder…) and because he knows best he’ll even demonstrate the moves you just bought for you to replicate… if you can follow his jiggling."

We're all about this new announcement for two reasons: first, Trowzer here is surely just one of a vast array of characters that will populate this new world, and this is a really quirky and neat design for one of the duo's new pals. We're excited to meet the rest of the cast and we hope there's more updates soon.

Secondly, the obvious innuendo here implies that the game won't be afraid to cater to adult players with a little bit of risque humor, and that's alright by us. Cartoons intended for children have hidden jokes for the adults forced to watch them for years, so why not have the same for a video game? We don't think Yooka-Laylee is going to turn into the next Conker's Bad Fur Day, but a couple of laughs now and then will be fine by us.
