There's an update coming to the Xbox One controller, and it's going to bring about an even faster experience to its users.

Major Nelson announced on his blog that there is an update out for the Xbox One controller's firmware that can help out a lot of your woes. Two of the things that the firmware update focuses on are quicker connections and stability improvements. You can get the update now from Xbox Live. To go into detail, the patch notes said this about the update:

•Quick Connect – previous controller connections to an Xbox One took 4-5 seconds when powering on a controller, now they should occur in ~2 seconds

•Stability improvements – the firmware also provides a number of fixes that address issues submitted by customers and preview participants

Right now the update is only available for Xbox One preview testers, but it should be out for everyone else soon enough. It'll be interesting to put these changes to the test in Halo: Master Chief Collection and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare when it arrives.
