The time has come, once again, to take a sneak peek at some of the new character models coming to the World of Warcraft.

A new post on the Battle.net blog features the latest Artcraft update. It might be short and sweet, but we're still given a fairly beefy look at the new model for the male Draenei. Chris Robinson, art director of World of Warcraft, gave some background information on the model and the changes that have been made.

Robinson said, "The original was one of the better character models in the game, so it didn’t require a ton of translation—but with higher-resolution textures and more polygons to work with, we were able to bump up his fidelity quite a bit, as well as improve how we convey emotion through a new animation rig."

Because the Draenei are one of the more relatively new races, it seems like not too much work needed to be done. In the pictures above and below, you can tell the difference in definition, giving the model a more natural look, rather than skin that looks like it's made of slate. We look forward to seeing more changes to the current character models in World of Warcraft.
