World of Warcraft Trailer: Beware the Warlords of Draenor

The next expansion for World of Warcraft will indeed see the franchise look to its past to take the series forward.

Trademarked just ahead of Blizzcon, Warlords of Draenor will indeed be the next expansion to the popular MMORPG World of Warcraft. The expansion will deal with events from the very first Warcraft, originally an RTS that was also extremely popular in its day.

As per Blizzard's description, "Across Draenor's savage jungles and battle-scarred plains, Azeroth's heroes will engage in a mythic conflict involving mystical draenei champions and mighty orc clans, and cross axes with the likes of Grommash Hellscream, Blackhand, and Ner’zhul at the height of their primal power. Players will need to scour this unwelcoming land in search of allies to help build a desperate defense against the Iron Horde’s formidable engine of conquest—or else watch their own world’s bloody, war-torn history repeat itself. "

There will be a host of new features included with this expansion. Most intriguing is the ability to instantly level up any character to level 90 so you can experience the latest content without having to start from scratch. You'll also be able to build your own compounds on Draenor, where you can command NPCs to do your bidding. New character art will also be introduced, revamping the look of key races already populating the game.
