Since we first heard about it back in November, we have been looking forward to Wave Trip surfing its way into the App Store. Fortunately, it looks like we won't have to wait that much longer, as Bad Hotel developer Lucky Frame has announced that it will arrive on iOS on January 22nd.

As we mentioned in our previous post about the game, Wave Trip is a rhythm game that features unique-looking geometric creatures, much in the same vein as the Patapon series for PSP. It will be a music-filled adventure where you control a little triangle-shaped astronaut guy, guiding him through pretty but treacherous worlds.

According to Lucky Frame, in addition to playing through the game in a regular manner, you will also be able to remix the levels into your own custom creations. There will also be an option to make your own stages from scratch, using an in-game editor. This Little Big Planet kind of ethos is always welcome in whimsical titles like this.

We're looking forward to giving Wave Trip a go, but will have to wait for January 22nd to roll around.
