Fans who are waiting on bated breath for more content from The Walking Dead should be heartened with recent news from Gary Whitta. In an interview with IGN's Up at Noon program, the Walking Dead writer revealed that although season two is still in production, gamers may get their zombie fix sooner than later.

Whitta, who found Hollywood success as the screenwriter for The Book of Eli, said that although season two is "a way off," he understands that fans can't get enough of The Walking Dead, adding, "there may very well be more Walking Dead from Telltale before season two. We may have a little something extra for you between season one and two."

So what is this something extra Whitta is talking about? Does it serve as the connective tissue between the two seasons, or it just a standalone solely created to please gamers? Will this addition keep gamers satisfied in the interim or is this all just a big tease?

Tell us if you think Gary Whitta's announcement is exciting or much ado about nothing!
