The roguelike-esque, post-apocalyptic world of Nuclear Throne is spreading to help usher in 2015 thanks to a generous move by Vlambeer.

Current owners of Nuclear Throne will be getting an additional free copy of it to give as a gift to a friend starting on New Year's Day, Polygon reports. Vlambeer has decided to help spread the love by letting its mutated wastelands grow, starting from people who already enjoy Nuclear Throne to the people closest to them. Nuclear Throne is a roguelike-action hybrid that features mutants growing new appendages and acquiring post-fallout weaponry to try and dominate the dangerous wastelands, and we're glad to see it expand for free.

"You've become really adept Nuclear Throne players, and we want to call upon you for your help. We need new players, people that are great players, that would love Nuclear Throne, and we need them to be part of our community," said a Vlambeer representative in the provided video's description. "We're sure you know somebody like that, and if you do, we want to ask you to invite them to the Nuclear Throne community. We need fresh eyes on the game, people that will still get decimated by Big Bandit and that will complain about the ravens in the scrapyard."

While this is a smart way of helping spread the word about Nuclear Throne, we're glad to see Vlambeer showing even more love for its fan base.
