Portal: No Escape – Best Video Game Fan Films

Arguably the greatest video game short on the internet, Portal: No Escape was the brainchild of commercial director Dan Trachtenberg, who made something so awesome that New Line Cinema recently hired him to direct a Y: The Last Man movie. We contacted Dan about Portal: No Escape and here's what he had to say:

The irony is it never occurred to me that what I was making was a "Fan Film." The sole purpose of what I did wasn't to just recreate things from the game. I thought it would be cool to make a flick inspired by the game, but told its own story in different way, that I didn't think we'd ever have a chance of seeing in video game form or in a feature film.
