Update:

Arne Meyer of Naughty Dog has formally announced Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection on the PlayStation Store.

Naughty Dog is handing the reins over to Bluepoint Games to upscale and upgrade the Uncharted trilogy to bring it to the PS4. Bluepoint Games is known for their work on the Xbox 360 version of Titanfall and bringing Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection, The Ico and Shadow of the Colossus Collection and the God of War Collection over to PS3. Pre-ordering The Nathan Drake Collection will get you the Nathan Drake Pack DLC, which will feature a variety of outfits and gun skins. Pre-ordering through the PlayStation Store will get you a free dynamic PS4 theme as an immediate download. On top of this, buying The Nathan Drake Collection will get you exclusive access to Uncharted 4: A Thief's End's multiplayer beta.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will hit the PS4 on Oct. 9.

Original Story:

The action trilogy that defined the PlayStation 3 will be coming to PlayStation 4 in the form of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

Game Informer reports that a listing for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection popped up on the mobile version of the PlayStation Store last night. Given the success of The Last of Us Remastered, it should be no surprise that Naughty Dog and Sony would want to bring the PS3-defining trilogy over to the PS4 in all its improved glory. It would make sense that Naughty Dog would want to do this now, given that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End has been delayed to 2016 and The Last of Us 2 is still nowhere in sight (The Last of Us directors Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley are currently working on Uncharted 4 after Amy Hennig jumped ship for Visceral Games). As you would expect, the listing for this anthology was quickly removed from the mobile version of the PlayStation Store.

Given the popularity of HD remasters and re-releases, it should be no surprise that one of the greatest action trilogies of the last generation of gaming is heading to PlayStation 4. We should note that Sony hasn't officially announced anything as of yet, but we would imagine that the popularity of the Uncharted franchise would mean that this collection would release as both a digital and physical release.

A recent tweet by Naughty Dog director and lead writer Neil Druckmann pretty much confirms this upcoming anthology. It looks like we'll be getting an official announcement soon:
