Nathan Drake is getting The Last of Us Remastered treatment, and a PlayStation 4 demo will be coming soon.

The PlayStation Blog recently did a hands on preview of Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. As you would expect, there were all kinds of compliments in regards to how gorgeous Drake's adventures look in 1080p and moving at 60fps. More importantly, we caught wind of something we weren't expecting before: a demo. That's right — The Nathan Drake Collection demo is heading to PlayStation 4 before the summer is up. That means sometime between now and Sept. 23, we'll get to play as Nate on PS4. Porting The Nathan Drake Collection to PlayStation 4 is Bluepoint Games, who did the last-gen version of Titanfall, the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, the God of War Collection and the Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection.

As you would expect, this collection features all three Uncharted games optimized for the PS4's capabilities. Surprisingly, Naughty Dog isn't porting this one themselves, unlike what they did with The Last of Us Remastered, but that's probably because they're hard at work on Uncharted 4 and that inevitable Cordyceps sequel. Nevertheless, there are countless action sequences from the Uncharted trilogy that we can't wait to see optimized using current-gen technology. Just imagine that car chase from Uncharted 2 using PS4 graphics.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will launch on Oct. 8 for PlayStation 4. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will launch sometime in 2016.
