As everyone's focused on Star Wars' galactic battles in space, Capcom is here to remind us there are epic fights in the streets headed to PS4 with Ultra Street Fighter IV.

The PlayStation Blog has announced that Ultra Street Fighter IV is making its current-gen debut on the PlayStation 4 next month. Sorry, Xbox fans, but Ryu and the gang won't be hitting the Xbox One. Sure, Street Fighter IV has been re-released far too many times since it launched seven years ago (has it really been that long?) for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and Capcom has gotten rather greedy with the premium outfits and minimal upgrades, but fighting game enthusiasts stay close with the current builds in order to keep up-to-date with character balancing and what not. Otherwise, Sagat would still be one of the most overpowered guys in the game. Nevertheless, we're glad to see Ryu, Chun-Li and the gang making their PlayStation 4 debut.

Capcom boasts that every character, level and piece of SFIV DLC that has ever launched so far will be included with the PS4 version of Ultra Street Fighter IV, which is quite a lot of downloadable costumes now that we think about it. This marks the beginning of Capcom's system-exclusivity deal with Sony to bring Street Fighter to the PlayStation 4 and not the Xbox One. Just like Ultra Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter V will be launching for PlayStation 4 (and PC) and not the Xbox One.

Ultra Street Fighter IV will digitally launch on May 26 for PlayStation 4 at a price of $24.99, which is pretty reasonable by this point. We're glad they didn't ask for a full $59.99 with a bunch of day-one DLC outfits ready to buy. Now could we just get "Indestructible" by The Next Door as the main theme and intro song once again Capcom, please?
