Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot stepped out to introduce the last game of the E3 2014 press briefing: Rainbow Six: Siege.

The studio demonstrated a pre-alpha version of a multiplayer match in which two teams were competing to extract a hostage successfully. Although very little of the game was revealed to attendees, the game appears to continue the Rainbow Six tradition of tactical, first-person shooting.

Rainbow Six: Siege would be the first game in the Rainbow Six franchise since 2008's Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, and also the first since Tom Clancy's death in 2013.

According to the trailer's description, Siege will feature "intense close quarters confrontations, high lethality, tactics, team play, and explosive action." The game will be released in 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
