Tomb Raider made its triumphant debut just yesterday, but now some new downloadable content as been announced that will keep players hopping around the island of Yamatai.

The official Tomb Raider blog was updated today, letting everyone know that they can sign up for an extended stay on Yamatai . The DLC comes in the form of a Caves & Cliffs Multiplayer Map Pack and will feature three new arenas in which players can hop around and destroy each other.

The maps included are:

  • Scavenger Caverns - The underground prison used by the scavengers made up of a network of caves.
  • Cliff Shantytown - A dilapidated cliff-side town that's been abandoned but is rife with traps.
  • The Burning Village - It's a village. And it's burning. What else do you need to know?
These maps can be played in all of the game's modes, which are Rescue, Cry For Help, Team Deathmatch, and Free for All. The DLC is a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360, so gamers on Xbox Live will get access to the new maps on March 19th, 2013 for 400 Microsoft Points, or $4.99. PlayStation 3 and PC players will get them at a later date, so they, too, can join in all of the climbing and jumping fury. Let us know if you'll be getting this map pack or if you're fine exploring the island solo!
