Titanfall’s Maps, Prestige Mode and Other Details Leaked
Get ready to brush up on a whole lot of new Titanfall details, because 15 new maps have been leaked, as well as information on Generations, the game's very own Prestige Mode.
Behold the 15 new maps that have been leaked on NeoGAF. These top-down pictures show us the playgrounds we'll be stomping through with our Titans when Titanfall goes live on March 11.
Not only do we see a layout of each map, but we're also given a look at some of the individual features scattered throughout each zone. As you can see, there are even turrets placed on certain maps to help you bring down your opponents' Titans. Study up, ladies and gents, because it could be tough to maneuver a giant robot through some of these locations, and you wouldn't want to get caught unawares in a back alley, surrounded by ground troops with rocket launchers.
According to a post on the Titanfall subreddit, some new details about different aspects of Titanfall were leaked. First is a game mode called Pilot Hunter, in which you must kill the enemy team's Pilots in order to reach a score limit. Each Pilot killed is worth one point.
Then there's Generations, Titanfall's version of Prestige Mode. Generations will allow you to reset to Level 1, resetting all of your challenges and unlocks. But you'll be able to earn experience points at a rate of 110% and retain your Burn Card collection.
Finally, ziplines have been revealed. These can be attached to any surface and can even be deployed in mid-air, allowing you to travel quickly both ways. This should make for some fleet-footed getaways, should a Titan fall right next to you and you don't feel like being scraped off its boot.
Titanfall will be released on PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One on March 11, 2014. Peep the maps below and study up!
